I first met Brenda a year ago at a dinner she hosted in Hamburg, a gathering designed to bring together women who had never met before, connecting over delicious food and nourishing conversations (all made possible by and-the-table.com - highly recommend checking it out).
Before dropping me off at her apartment, my partner Brad joked that I'd come out of this with five new friends. Little did he know, it would soon be more like fifteen.
The moment I stepped through that door, stories- and, admittedly, wine- were flowing. By the time I got home, I was buzzing with inspiration. My heart was full. One dinner led to another, and another after that. Each meet-up brought a mix of new and familiar faces and its own energy: think home-cooked Italian lasagne at Benni’s, karaoke in the basement of a Korean restaurant, and "clubbing" with matcha lattes in a coffee shop on a Sunday at 10am. The group chat began to grow, and when Brenda suggested sharing some of our conversations online to inspire others, it felt like a natural next step for this incredible community.
From day one, I’ve had the most raw, honest and moving conversations with these women. We celebrate each other’s wins, challenge societal expectations, and hold space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. It's the Sex and the City kind of friendship. And just like your favorite series, you can tune in anytime at instagram.com/difficult.women.collective.
